So I casually mentioned on Facebook that my husband and I were on a mission or endeavor to perfect the grilled steak, in our own home. I commented that we would try several different cuts and make notes on what works best for each cut. I got a lot of comments and encouragement. My school days and Facebook friend Lesa Parker Miller suggested I blog the journey. Lesa has a fabulous blog herself and is quite accomplished at this sort of thing, so my first reaction was that I just couldn't do this, because Lesa would be in on my little caper and I would surely come up wanting in my efforts. My husband too, has a blog of his own. He's a good writer and doesn't hesitate to critique my efforts, so there's that, too. Then I thought maybe I just need to blog about something to keep me interested in the universe. So here goes.
I think this blog will be whatever is occupying my time and mind at any given time. 99.9% of the world's population will be completely disinterested, as they should be. Perhaps, I may express something somebody will find moderately worthwhile.
I will surely document that steak thing, but you can't or shouldn't eat a big hunk o' beef every day, so I'll share some other stuff too.

Welcome to the blogosphere! Thanks for the compliment and I'm laughing about you coming up wanting-- not going to happen!
ReplyDeleteReally the idea is too funny-- Did you know I've admired your storytelling since 2nd grade? You would sit at your desk retelling family events ect with the teacher and class. I loved the stories but, being so shy as a child, I found your ease of speaking in front of everyone fascinating and a bit intimidating. ;o)
I've really enjoyed your writing voice on FB-- your humor and perspectives are fun and interesting. Looking forward to reading your blog! Wise of you to keep the focus more general-- that way it can go on after the Great Steat Experiment!
You have to start somewhere and a steak is as good as anywhere! Welcome to bloggyville.
